Connor Grimes is our Regional and Special Projects Broker for CBI-Sunbelt Business Advisors in Lowell, Arkansas. As a full-time business broker with many years of experience, Connor helps bring privately-held business Sellers and Buyers together.
In 2000, Connor started his brokerage career at the family-owned CBI-Sunbelt in Springfield, Missouri, and later moved back to Northwest Arkansas to work at the office in Lowell. He later worked in Sunbelt offices in Kansas City, Missouri, and Charleston, South Carolina. In Charleston, Connor was the managing broker—his responsibilities included recruiting and training new brokers as well as running the day-to-day operations of the office.
Shortly after, Connor took to the road teaching the tried and true CBI-Sunbelt method to other office owners and brokers. His extensive experience with helping serious buyers find the right business at the right price, the right time, and on the right terms gives him insight that not all brokers have. For the business seller, Connor advises and assists in obtaining independent, third party business valuations in order to set a market-driven purchase price for the business. This provides the seller with a realistic opportunity to sell the business for the most amount of money in the least amount of time.
Connor works closely with the Franchise Sales and Re-Sales division of Sunbelt. According to him, owning a franchise means that one is in business for him/herself but not by him/herself. He believes franchises are a match for people who are interested in putting management teams in place and who appreciate established proven methods of operation.
All State Insurance in Springfield, Willy D’s Piano Bar in Little Rock, and the master Sports Clips franchise for the tri-state area are just a few of the businesses that Connor has sold.
Connor majored in business management at Oklahoma Baptist University where he was an All-American Sprinter for the Bison Track Team. A Fayetteville native, Connor is a member of New Heights Bible Church and is active in community group.
